Menches Brothers Restaurant is the only restaurant that can claim the "Original Hamburger" and the "Original Ice Cream Cone." We promote our unique heritage by showcasing the original recipe just as it was invented in 1885 by our great-grandfather, Charles Menches, and his brother, Frank.

There is no other hamburger on the market that can substantiate such a claim! A little-known fact is that the "Original Hamburger" indeed had its own recipe spiced with coffee and brown sugar; much different from what most Americans have tasted throughout the last century. The original recipe is featured at all Menches Brothers Restaurants.  Our family also owns a unique replica of an antique cone maker that has been in use since 1905.
 
This cone maker is used to show others how Frank and Charles invented the ice cream cone at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
